AI Journey Builder, an AI-powered graph creation capability that allows users to build journey graphs using natural language prompts. Instead of manually adding and configuring nodes, users can describe the desired journey in conversational language and allow AI to generate a draft graph structure.
The generated graph can be reviewed, refined through additional prompts, and saved to the project once approved. This helps reduce graph creation effort, accelerates journey design, and makes journey creation more accessible to users with limited Journey Orchestration experience.
Benefits
Reduces the time required to create journey graphs.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that:
AI Journey Builder is enabled for your organization.

Contact Support team to enable AI Journey Builder for your organization.
You have permissions to create and manage graphs within the project.
Graph Assistant and related AI capabilities are enabled if required by your organization's configuration
Creating a Graph Using AI
AI Journey Builder allows you to create journey graphs using natural language prompts through a conversational interface. Instead of manually adding and configuring nodes, you can describe the desired journey and allow the AI assistant to generate an initial graph design for review. The generated graph serves as a draft that can be refined, reviewed, and validated before being saved to the project

To create a graph using AI:
Navigate to the required project and start the graph preview creation process.
Click Create with AI; the AI journey builder window will be displayed.

Enter a natural language description of the journey you want to build and submit the prompt. Describe the desired journey flow, expected actions, decision points, and outcomes in plain language.

AI interprets the request, displays a planned step to generate the graph preview, the workflow includes, and asks you to either Reject or Approve.

Once approved, it will start executing and finalizing the responses to generate the graph preview. You can review the graph and provide additional instructions to refine the graph.

Reviewing the AI-Generated Preview
Before a graph is created or updated, AI Journey Builder displays a preview of the proposed design. The preview allows you to review the generated graph and understand the impact of the requested changes before they are applied. Depending on the prompt, the preview may include:
Graph structure and node relationships.
Journey steps and execution flow.
Decision paths and branching logic.
Schema elements and data structures.
Profile attributes and interactions.
External integrations or referenced components.
A summary of proposed additions and updates.
After reviewing the preview, you can:
Accept the generated graph preview and proceed with graph creation.
Revise the prompt to refine or regenerate the proposed design.
Reject the graph preview if the generated result does not meet your requirements.
No changes are committed until you explicitly confirm the generated graph. This review process ensures that you remain in control of all AI-generated updates and can validate the proposed implementation before it is added to the project
Refining a Graph Through Conversation
After a graph is generated, you can continue interacting with the AI assistant to refine and improve the design. Rather than manually rebuilding the graph, you can provide additional instructions in natural language, and the assistant will generate an updated version based on your request. For example, you can ask the assistant to:
Add new journey steps
Introduce decision branches
Update profile-related actions
Adjust the flow of the journey
Reorganize graph components.
The assistant interprets these requests and presents an updated preview that reflects the proposed changes before they are applied.
This iterative approach allows you to progressively enhance the generated graph until it aligns with your business requirements. Each refinement request produces a new preview, enabling you to review the proposed updates, validate the design, and make further adjustments as needed before saving the graph.
Saving the Generated Graph
Once the generated graph meets the desired requirements:
After refining the graph, click Create Graph. Once the graph is generated, it is automatically saved and added to the project's graph list, where it can be reviewed, updated, tested, and deployed as needed.

Best Practices
Provide detailed prompts that include the audience, communication channels, and desired outcome. More specific prompts generally produce more accurate graph designs.
Review every AI-generated preview carefully before accepting changes. This helps ensure the generated graph aligns with your business requirements.
Refine the generated graph through follow-up prompts rather than starting over. Iterative conversations often produce better results and require less effort.
Reuse existing graph patterns and sub-graphs whenever appropriate. Reusing proven components helps maintain consistency across journeys.
Test and validate AI-generated graphs before deploying them to production. AI-generated designs should be treated as a starting point rather than a final implementation.
If the generated result is not what you expected, try rephrasing the prompt with additional business context. Small prompt changes can significantly improve the generated output.
Replace any placeholder or unsupported components with the appropriate implementation before deployment. This ensures the graph is complete and fully functional.
FAQ
Does AI Journey Builder create graphs automatically?
No. AI Journey Builder generates a draft graph and displays a preview. No changes are applied until you review and confirm the generated design.
Can I modify the generated graph before saving it?
Yes. You can continue interacting with the assistant using additional prompts to refine and adjust the generated graph before accepting it.
Does AI Journey Builder check for existing graphs?
Yes. The assistant can evaluate existing project graphs and may recommend reusing an existing graph when it closely matches the requested functionality, helping to reduce duplication.
What happens if I close or dismiss the preview?
The preview is temporary. If the preview is dismissed without acceptance, the generated draft is not retained and must be generated again.
Can AI Journey Builder generate all graph components?
No. Some constructs may still require manual configuration. Unsupported components may be represented as placeholders or Ghost Nodes that must be completed by the user.
Does AI Journey Builder impact existing graphs?
No. The capability is additive and does not affect existing journey graphs or current implementations.
