# Create New Team

The Create New Team form is designed to capture all essential details needed to create a new team and assign users and channels to it. To begin creating a new team within the organization, the client admin has to follow the steps below:

- Locate the **Create New** icon at the top-right corner of the page.
- Click the **Create New (+) icon** to open the new team creation form in the right-hand side.

- When you click the **Create Team** (+) icon, the **New Team** form opens on the right-hand side.
- The **Create Team** (+)icon remains **inactive**(frozen) while you fill out the form and create the team.
- Once the team is successfully created, the **Create Team** (+) icon becomes **active** again, allowing you to create another team.

#### Team Details

- Type a unique name in the **Team Name** field.
- Ensure the name is **3-40** **characters**, using letters, numbers, and spaces only (special characters are not allowed.)

- As you type, a list of existing teams appears to help avoid duplicates. If the name already exists, an error message displays: *“To create a new team/sub-team, choose a unique name.”*
- Enter a description in the **description field** (up to 1,500 characters) to outline team responsibilities.

#### Access and Permissions

- To enable any channel, click the **toggle** button. Clicking it again will disable the channel.
- The **Create Team** button is activated.
- Click the **Create Team** button to finalize team creation or click the **Cancel** button to close the Team Creation form.

> Enabling at least one channel (Email, SMS, MMS, or RCS) under Access and Permissions is mandatory to create a team.

- After you click **Create Team** to finalize the team creation, the system redirects you to the **Teams Dashboard**. The newly created team card appears on the dashboard.
- A toast message appears confirming the action. **For Example**: “HiTech team is created!”
