Import HTML Template

The HTML Template Import feature allows users to upload an existing HTML email file and automatically convert it into an editable template within the email editor in XCC.

This feature reduces manual effort and enables faster migration of legacy email templates into XCC.

  • Log in to the application and access XCC Studio.

  • Open an existing Email Template or create a new one.

  • Click the </> icon in the top toolbar.

  • The Import HTML File modal appears.

  • Click “Click to browse” your file.

  • Select a valid .html or .htm file.

Note

Validate File:

  • File size limit (6 MB)

  • Required HTML structure (DOCTYPE, html/body tags)

  • UTF-8 charset

  • Static HTML and CSS

  • Import button becomes active if the uploaded file is valid.

  • Click Import.

  • Once the import is successful, a confirmation message appears:

    “HTML imported successfully.”

  • The system replaces existing canvas content.

  • Converts HTML into editable blocks.

  • Maps structure into rows and elements.

Note

Best-practice guidance :

  • Assets must be publicly accessible URLs

  • Inline CSS is recommended for best results

  • Variables must be re-added after import 

Note

Review the converted email template for accuracy. Some elements may require manual adjustments after conversion.

  • Use left panel components for enhancements.

  • Save the template as Draft or click Submit to finalize.
