# REST Web Service PATCH Method

## REST Web Service PATCH Method

To create a **Web Service PATCH** method, creating a [Web Service Connection](/v1/docs/rest-web-service-connection) is mandatory first.

The Web Service **PATCH** method calls the PATCH method on the specified connection.

- Choose the Adaptor Connection from the drop-down menu and then choose PATCH from the Method drop-down.
