# Overview

**What Bill Explainer is**

**Bill Explainer** is a premium application within the **CSG CX portfolio** that helps consumers understand their bills clearly and confidently.

It provides a branded, interactive microsite that explains the current bill, highlights what changed since the previous cycle, and guides customers to relevant next steps, including support from a Gen AI-led concierge, reducing confusion, anxiety, and unnecessary support contacts. Brands can also embed Bill Explainer into their own digital and chat experiences via secure APIs.

## How Bill Explainer works (high level)

Bill Explainer sits as an **explanation layer on top of billing data.**

Each billing cycle, customers receive a secure, personalized link (for example, via email or SMS) that opens a no-login microsite explaining their bill in context.
