Overview
This Xponent Communications Control (XCC) 26.1 release expands reporting and analytics across RCS, SMS, and MMS channels to provide clearer visibility into delivery health, customer engagement, and message effectiveness. The release introduces the new RCS Performance Report Dashboard, delivering centralized RCS delivery and engagement metrics with trend and activity views. In addition, SMS Performance Report is enhanced with Keyword Response Analytics, enabling insight into STOP, HELP, and other inbound responses to support compliance monitoring and more informed messaging decisions.
RCS Performance Report Dashboard
The RCS Performance Report dashboard provides enhanced visibility into RCS delivery and engagement performance through a centralized reporting view. The dashboard consolidates key RCS disposition and engagement indicators, enabling teams to monitor delivery outcomes, evaluate message effectiveness, and analyze performance trends over time thus supporting more informed messaging decisions.
Key Highlights
RCS disposition summary metrics, including total and average counts for RCS Delivered, RCS Failed, and RCS Seen, providing a clear snapshot of overall RCS performance.
RCS Seen Activity heatmap, visualizing message distribution by day of week and hour of day to highlight activity patterns.
Date and template‑based filtering to support targeted analysis of RCS performance.
Keyword Response Analytics
SMS reports are enhanced with keyword response analytics for inbound SMS responses to both SMS and MMS templates, improving visibility into customer inbound behavior. All responses to SMS and MMS templates are normalized and reported as SMS‑only on the SMS Dashboard, including Keyword Responses and Word Cloud visualizations. Keyword‑level insights enable a clearer understanding of customer engagement, supporting informed adjustments to messaging content and communication strategies while improving overall SMS and MMS template effectiveness.
Key Enhancements
Summary Metrics for required compliance keywords, including:
STOP Responses and STOP Response Rate, representing customer opt‑out behavior.
HELP Responses and HELP Response Rate, indicating requests for assistance or additional information.
Keyword Response Distribution visualization on the SMS Dashboard, showing the relative breakdown of STOP, HELP, and Other (Unrecognized) inbound SMS responses for a selected template.
Word Cloud visualization of inbound SMS responses to SMS and MMS templates, highlighting the most common keywords and phrases received in response to a template on the SMS Dashboard. This provides insight into customer intent beyond standard compliance keywords.
Recognition of keyword variations, ensuring that responses such as “STOP” and extended phrases like “STOP SENDING ME MESSAGES” are appropriately classified and counted toward opt‑out or help metrics.
Continuous Improvement
Secure URL Handling for RCS Button Configuration
When configuring RCS link buttons, the platform automatically prefixes URLs with https:// if the editor enters a value without the protocol (for example, typing www.example.com becomes https://www.example.com). This ensures RCS link buttons use secure, standards-based web addresses that are more reliably recognized and opened by RCS clients, improving link delivery while protecting end users with encrypted, trusted connections.
