Profile Details

The Profile Details view displays customer profile information in a read‑only format by default. This view allows users to review key customer attributes and subscription status before making any changes.

  • Navigate to the Profiles page

  • Select the required profile.

  • The system opens the Profile Details on the right side.

At the top of the profile, BCE displays the customer Profile ID (for example, 1001002), which uniquely identifies the customer record within the system. The Profile Details section displays Profile Attributes, Subscriptions, and the Edit, Delete, and Close (X) controls.

The Profile Details section presents system‑generated and customer‑specific attributes, including:

  • Activation date

  • Birthdate

  • Created at and Created by

  • Updated at and Updated by

  • First name and Last name

  • Email

  • Current balance

  • In collections status

Note

 All fields in this section are read‑only until you choose to edit the profile.

Profile Edit

Locate the Edit button in the lower-right corner of the Profile Details section.

  • Click Edit. The section changes to edit mode

  • Text fields become editable.

  • Date fields (activation_date, birthdate) display a calendar icon.

  • The in_collections field appears as a toggle button.

For example: In edit mode, you can update fields as needed:

  • activation_date

    • Click inside the activation_date field.

    • Either type the date in the required format or click the calendar icon to select a date.

  • birthdate

    • Click inside the birthdate field.

    • Either type the new birthdate or use the calendar icon to select the date.

  • bt_city_con

    • Click the bt_city_con field and update the city value.

  • email*

    • Click the email field and enter the correct email address.

    • Ensure the email follows your organization’s required format and is valid, because it is marked as a required field (*).

  • current_balance

    • Click the current_balance field and update the amount.

  • first_name and last_name

    • Update the customer’s first_name and last_name fields as needed.

  • in_collections

    • Use the toggle to set whether the account is in collections:

      On – the profile is marked as in collections.

      Off – the profile is not in collections.

  • If you make any changes on the Profile Details that you want to keep, select Save at the bottom of this section.

    • The Profile details section switches from edit mode to read-only mode.

  • Click Cancel, if you do not want to save the changes made on the Profile Details section.

    • The Profile details section switches from edit mode to read-only mode.

Subscriptions

  • On the Profile Details page, scroll down to the Subscriptions section (below the profile information fields).

  • In the Subscriptions section, locate the subscription card for the profile.

    • The subscription name (for example, Marketing) appears as the card title.

    • The Subscribed date  (DD/MM/YY) shows when the profile first subscribed to this communication.

    • The Last Engaged date (DD/MM/YY) shows the most recent date the profile interacted with an email from this subscription.

    • The status pill on the right (for example, Subscribed) shows the current subscription status.

Review the card details to confirm the customer’s current subscription and engagement information.

View History

  • Select View History to open the subscription history modal.

  • Review the Subscriptions table. Each row (when available) represents one change to the profile’s subscription. The table displays the following columns:

  • Name – Subscription name.

  • Channel Group – Channel group associated with the subscription.

  • Status – Resulting subscription status after the change (for example, Subscribed or Unsubscribed).

  • Date – Date when the change occurred.

  • Source of Change – Where the change originated

    Source of change options for subscribe/unsubscribe:  

    • File Import: Client updated the profile subscription using file upload from UI or batch upload from S3.

    • One-Click: Subscriber unsubscribed using email client’s unsubscribe option

    • Token Link: Subscriber unsubscribed using the unsubscribe link in the email

    • API: Client update the subscription using API call

  • Author – User or system that performed the change.

Note

 If there is no history for the profile, the table displays the message: No results to be displayed.

  • After you finish reviewing the history, select Close to return to the Profile Details page.

Delete Profile

Note

  Deletion options are role‑based and appear only for users with the Editor role.

  • On the Profile Details page, click Delete to remove the profile.

  • System displays the Confirm Deletion modal. The title reads: “Profile – Confirm Deletion”.

Note

 This action is permanent. The user will be removed and no longer available in the system.

  • Click Cancel if you do NOT want to proceed.

    • The modal closes. No profiles are deleted; the Profiles table remains unchanged.

  • If you DO want to proceed with deletion click the red Delete button.

  • System processes the deletion. The modal closes.

  • The system removes the profile from the Profiles table and decreases the Total Profiles count on the Profiles screen to reflect the deletion.
