Switch Clients and Manage Client Data from the App Launcher

Prev Next

This section explains how to use the App Launcher (top-menu client selector) to switch between clients and sub-clients,  manage users, teams, and configurations.

Note

Client Admin assignment is not performed in the front-end by default users. It is part of backend onboarding and configuration. Once assigned, the UI reflects the access with client + sub-client visibility and admin capabilities.

  • Navigate to the top-left corner of the Studio page

  • Click the App Launcher (waffle) icon

  • A dropdown panel opens below the icon. The panel includes:

    • Active Client Name

      • Example: Client 1

    • Account ID

      • Example: 100

    • Account Details

    • Switch Account- List of Clients/ Sub-clients (Scrollable)

    • Logout

Note

A Client represents an organization (example: Client 1).

A Sub-client represents business units under the client (example: Category 1, Category 2)

The App Launcher (top-left)  is now the primary entry point for client switching. What you see depends on the role assigned to you. Client admins and non-admin users do not see the same menu.

  • CSG Admins/ Client admins may see an expanded sub-client menu, like the example above.

  • A client admin has access to more than one sub-client and can move between them.

  • Non-admin users, such as editors, will not see that expanded admin view. Instead, they will see a simpler list of available clients and sub-clients.
For example- The user has access to Sub-clients (Category 1, Category 2 and Category 3) shown in the captured screen below.

Role

Visible Options

Client Admin

Client(s) + all sub-clients (expandable via arrow)

CSG Admin

Multiple clients across the system

Non-admin user

Assigned sub-client(s) only

Switch Account by Selecting a Client or Sub-client from the App Launcher

  • Navigate to Switch Account  in the App Launcher.

  • It contains a scrollable list of selectable accounts.

For example: The visible Client list includes: Client 1, Client 2, Client 3…

  • Some entries include a right-facing arrow ( > ) indicating additional levels (sub-clients) are available.

  • If all sub-clients are visible, you have Client Admin access.

  • If only one sub-client is visible, you are a non-admin user.

  • To switch between Clients/ Sub-clients select the  Client/ Sub-client.

  • The application updates to the selected context and data refreshes based on selected Client/ Sub-client.

For example- The CSG admin switches from a Lexar sub-client Retail to another Lexar Sub-client Telecommunications.

Note

You can switch between allowed Clients/ Sub-clients at any time.

Once Client Admin access is confirmed, you can perform the following Administrative Functions for the Client/ Sub-client assigned to you:

  • Invite and Manage Users by navigating to User Management.

  • Manage Teams by navigating to Teams.

  • Manage Templates from the Template section.

  • Mapping Variables and its customizations from Variable Management section.

Client Switching Behavior

Client Switching is disabled in administrative pages. You cannot switch clients when you are inside administrative sections such as:

  • Teams

  • User Management

  • Variable management

  • Any other administrative or configuration pages

Switching Clients After Visiting Admin Pages

Note

Administrative pages always operate within a single client context. Client switching is intentionally limited to Studio.

  • Click to return to Studio view.

  • Click the App Launcher (waffle) icon

  • Navigate to Switch Account  in the App Launcher.

  • Select a new client from the list of clients/sub-clients.
