Overview

This release introduces new RCS capabilities that help organizations create more engaging and personalized customer interactions. Enhancements include Add Calendar Event for RCS Actions and Open Web Page in WebView for RCS Actions, enabling recipients to take action directly from RCS messages. The release also adds RCS Personalization Variables to support tailored customer experiences and includes Backplane Product Discovery API Integration to help create a more seamless experience across CSG applications.

  • Add Calendar Event for RCS Actions

Introduced the Add Calendar Event RCS action, allowing recipients to save events directly from RCS messages. Authors can configure event details such as the title, date and time, time zone, description, and optional payload data for use in both card and message suggestions. When selected, the action opens the recipient’s native calendar application with the event information prepopulated, making it easier to review and save the event.

  • Open Web Page in WebView for RCS Actions

Introduced the Open Web Page in WebView RCS action, enabling recipients to open webpages directly within the messaging experience. Authors can configure the action text, URL, optional payload data, and WebView display mode (Full, Expanded, or Half). The action supports both card and message suggestions, includes variable substitution in supported fields, and automatically falls back to the device browser when WebView is not supported.

  • RCS Personalization Variables

Introduced support for personalization variables in RCS card and message suggestions, allowing authors to tailor content for individual recipients using customer data. Variables can be used in message content, action text, URLs, and payload fields, with preview and validation support to help authors verify personalized content before sending. At send time, variables are resolved automatically, enabling a single template to deliver personalized experiences at scale.

  • Backplane Product Discovery API Integration

XCC now connects with CSG’s product discovery service to identify the products available to each customer. This enhancement lays the foundation for a more seamless experience across CSG applications, making it easier for users to access the products available to them from XCC as cross-product navigation capabilities are introduced.

Continuous Improvements

  • In-Editor Email Quality Validation

Introduced the Email Editor Quality Check feature, providing in-editor validation to help authors identify accessibility and content-quality issues while creating email content. The quality check experience highlights recommendations for areas such as HTML weight, alt text, color contrast, and heading structure, helping improve content quality before review and distribution.

  • Shared Email Asset Synchronization Enhancements

Improved synchronization of shared email assets across email templates and template versions to provide a more reliable and scalable update experience. When a shared asset is promoted to Approved, existing approved template versions remain unchanged. Templates with an approved version receive a new review version containing the updated asset, while templates without an approved version can have their draft and review versions updated in place. This enhancement helps streamline shared asset updates while preserving the template approval lifecycle.

Bug Fixes

  • 1305109 - Resolved an issue where team dropdowns and filters continued to display teams associated with a previously selected client or sub-client after an organization switch. Team data now refreshes correctly when users change organizations, ensuring that only teams belonging to the currently selected client or sub-client are displayed.

  • 1315141 - Resolved an issue that could prevent some RCS messages from being delivered when customers selected the Call Phone Number suggested action. Phone numbers are now sent in a format supported by messaging providers, helping ensure messages are delivered successfully.
