After successfully submitting the Event Mapping step, and if there are no errors, the CSA workflow is considered complete. A confirmation message will be displayed on the screen. At this point, you can either manually navigate to another section within Xponent or click the Return to Project Overview button.

Data is usually ready within 30 minutes, but it may take up to 2 hours for large or complex files.
You can revisit the Analytics page once processing is complete to view the results.
If this is the first file upload (no existing data on the JDA dashboard): Refreshing or returning to the Analytics page before processing is complete will show the message:
Your data is currently processing.
Data is usually ready within 30 minutes, but it may take up to 2 hours for large or complex files.
Only one file can be imported at a time - please wait for it to finish. Started at [04:25 PM].

If the Journey Discovery Analytics Dashboard already has data: If the backend transformation is still in progress, the Import Data button will be replaced with a Processing status and will not be clickable. During this time, the Sankey chart will continue to display the existing data, and the filter section at the bottom of the page will indicate that the newly uploaded file is Processing.

Once the processing is complete, the button will return to its original Import Data state, indicating that the data is now available in Analytics.

Once the mapping is successfully submitted, the system will automatically create any new Journey Steps or Interactions associated with the project. These elements will be available for use in Orchestration.
Save Mapping
The Save Mapping feature makes it easier to reuse your mapping across multiple file uploads. Instead of setting up field mappings from scratch every time, you can save a mapping once and apply it again later. This helps maintain consistency and saves time when working with large or recurring datasets.

Enter a unique name in the mapping name text box. As soon as you enter a valid name, the Save button becomes available.
If you try to use a name that already exists, a warning message appears just below the text box:
Name already used. Try another.
In this case, the Save button will not appear until you enter a unique name. This prevents accidental overwriting and ensures each saved mapping can be clearly identified.
Click Save to store the mapping. The button then changes to Saved, confirming that the mapping is now stored and ready to use.
The next time you upload a file, you can select this saved mapping instead of creating a new one.
Maintain clear naming conventions while saving mappings so it is easy to identify and use the right one later.
Next Steps
Once your file has been uploaded, the platform begins processing your data. You will be able to review the results here once processing is complete. In the meantime, you can continue exploring other parts of the application without interruption.
When you are ready, click Return to Project Overview. This will take you directly to the Journey Discovery Analytics Dashboard, where your processed data becomes available for review and analysis.
However, if the JDA page does not currently have any previously existing Pre-Production or Production data, you will not see any results until the processing is complete.
Best Practices
If your project has both Pre-Production and Production Analytics environments enabled, make sure the Environment filter is set to Pre-Production in order to view the Current-State Analytics (CSA) data.
You should wait until the Import Data button is available again before attempting to view the results. If the button still says Processing, it means the data is not yet ready for analysis.
View Data in Journey Analytics
Once the processing is complete, you can view the Current-State Analytics (CSA) data in Journey Discovery Analytics Dashboard. To do this, navigate to the Analytics page and ensure that the Environment drop-down in the Global Filter is set to Pre-Production.

Within Journey Discovery Analytics Dashboard you can analyze insights such as the total number of unique profiles identified, the number of Journey Steps tracked, and how customers are engaging with different paths through the Sankey visualization.
You can also identify logical groupings of Journey Steps to understand the most common paths taken by users. This helps in identifying friction points where customers are getting stuck and in comparing those with the happy paths to define a better future-state journey.
