Introduction to Workbench Module

Prev Next

The Workbench module is responsible for preparing billing data so it can be explained clearly and consistently to customers.

It operates behind the scenes, ensuring that billing information is structured, aligned, and ready to power the Bill Explainer experience.

Workbench is designed to support accurate explanations at scale — without exposing complexity to customers.

What Workbench enables

Workbench helps teams:

  • Ingest billing data from different sources

  • Align and structure billing information for explanation

  • Ensure consistency across billing periods and customer accounts

  • Validate that data is ready before it is used in customer experiences

Its focus is on data readiness, not presentation.

Who uses Workbench

Workbench is primarily used by:

  • Implementation teams

  • Technical administrators

  • Product and operations teams responsible for billing data quality

It is not customer-facing and is typically configured during onboarding or initial setup.

How Workbench fits into Bill Explainer

Workbench works alongside the other Bill Explainer modules:

  • Workbench prepares and aligns billing data

  • Studio controls how explanations are configured and presented

  • Explainer delivers the experience to customers

  • Insights measures engagement and usage

Together, these modules ensure billing explanations are accurate, consistent, and meaningful.
