Overview

This release introduces enhancements across template lifecycle management, role-based access, and template authoring. Key updates include Removal of the Active status and Activator Role, expanded Client Administration Capabilities, HTML Template Import via Beefree Converter, and improved user visibility with Email ID in User Management Dashboard. Additional UI updates and RCS content controls enhance usability and ensure more reliable message delivery. Under Bug Fixes, key issues in asset synchronization, editor content retention, and version consistency are addressed, improving overall system stability.

  • Removal of Active Template Status and Activator Role

This release removes Active status and Activator role from XCC. Templates now follow a Draft Review Approved lifecycle, with activation managed exclusively in Journey Orchestrator. This eliminates state ambiguity and supports version-based template management.

  • Client Admin Assignment Capability

Client administration capabilities have been enhanced to support flexible access control across clients and sub-clients. Client Admins can be assigned to multiple clients and access all associated sub-clients. Non-admin users can be assigned to specific sub-clients with restricted access.
In parallel, a new client switching interface has been introduced- the old bottom icons are replaced with an App Launcher (top-menu client selector).

    Note

      App Launcher (Top-Menu Client Selector)-

    • Shows the current client/sub-client.

    • Allows quick switching via a floating account-selection panel.

    • Remembers the last selected client on login.

This Makes it easier for users who legitimately work across several sub-clients to see and switch context.

  • HTML Template Import via Beefree Converter

The BeeFree HTML Converter API enables users to import existing HTML email templates into XCC and convert them into editable templates within the BeeFree editor. This feature reduces the effort required to recreate templates and supports faster migration of existing email designs into XCC. It is primarily intended for Service Delivery and implementation teams, with support for broader self-service use over time.

  • Email ID in User Management Dashboard

The User Management Dashboard now includes an Email column in the users table. The column displays the email associated with each user and supports sorting in ascending or descending order. This update enables XCC Admins and Client Admins to match users with identity provider records more easily and troubleshoot access issues when only an email address is known.

Continuous Improvements

  • UI Navigation and Page Structure Updates

The legacy Admin Dashboard has been removed from the navigation. User invitation and add-user actions are now available through User Management. Communications Management has been renamed to Administrative Functions, and the related item within Communications Management has been renamed to Variables Management to better align with Variable Mapping and Customization. This update is limited to the user interface and navigation. It primarily impacts XCC and Client Administrators using administrative configuration workflows.

  • Enhanced RCS Image Editing

Adds cropping, zoom, and resize capabilities to the RCS Rich Card editor, along with real-time file size feedback to help keep images within payload limits. Supports aspect-ratio presets and replaces the previous basic editor, improving image handling and authoring efficiency.

  • RCS Payload and Content Controls

Introduces enforced validation and real-time feedback in RCS editors. A unified payload size is displayed, with warnings and strict limits for title, message length, and overall payload (up to 5 MB). Input is restricted and Test Send is disabled when limits are exceeded. Updates apply to both Rich Card and Simple Text editors, helping ensure compliant templates and reducing delivery failures.

Bug Fixes

  • Bug 1217817- Fixed an issue where updates to shared email assets were not always propagated to linked email templates. In some cases, invalid responses during the asset approval process caused template synchronization to stop before the latest shared-asset changes were applied.

  • Bug 1217670- Fixed an issue where content in TinyMCE-based templates, including RCS, MMS, and SMS templates, could appear to disappear when users switched to another tab before saving. In-progress edits were not consistently retained in the editor view, so returning to the template could show the last saved content instead of the latest unsaved changes.

  • Bug 1212031- Corrected behavior in EU environments where SMS and MMS templates could retain multiple Active versions, ensuring only one Active version is maintained per template per environment.
