  • Data Ingestion Assistant: The Data Ingestion Assistant simplifies and accelerates the process of preparing billing data for use in Bill Explainer. It provides a complete, business-friendly interface to ingest source files, define mappings, and manage reusable configurations.

By streamlining data preparation, the assistant helps teams reduce setup time, minimize errors, and accelerate time-to-value for new billing data sources. It ensures greater data accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency all without needing deep technical expertise.

Clients can define their own mappings, manage reusable mapping recipes or rely on CSG-managed templates for more complex configurations. Built-in rule testing allows teams to validate transformations before deployment, minimizing rework and ensuring clean data. Admins can publish stable mappings for consistent use across datasets, and access controls help manage sensitive configurations securely.

This integrated, flexible approach supports both simple and advanced use cases empowering clients to manage data their way while ensuring production readiness.

  • Logo Management: With the new Logo Management UI, organizations can maintain a consistent and professional brand image across all Bill Explainer instances. This self-service capability empowers administrators to instantly update logos and favicons without technical support. It accelerates time-to-market for brand changes and reinforces customer trust at every touchpoint from page load to browser tab. No need to raise a support ticket changes are instant and fully visible in preview.

  • Backup and Recovery for Studio: Admin users with the appropriate permissions can now roll back to any saved or published version, reducing rework, improving safety, and accelerating iteration all without the risk of losing prior configurations. Whenever content is explicitly saved as a draft or published the system automatically creates a backup of that version. Admins can restore the latest saved or published version to recover from mistakes or content loss. This release introduces a streamlined rollback option that allows users to revert to the previous version quickly. With this, content creation becomes more resilient, and users can confidently make changes knowing they have a fallback option in place.

  • User-Based Publishing Permissions: CSG support team can now assign user-specific permissions (Read, Edit, Save, Publish) across Bill Explainer Admin, including Studio, via backend updates ensuring that only users with Admin or Publisher roles can publish content. Additionally, an audit trail tracks all publishing actions including who published, when, and what content to provide accountability, improve governance, and support compliance efforts.

  • BE Admin and Microsite User Feedback Gathering: To support continuous improvement, two new feedback collection methods have been introduced:

    • BE Admin Feedback (CSG-only)

A new feedback widget is available in Studio for BE Admins (internal CSG users only) to share ratings and comments about their configuration experience. Feedback is sent to the Data Platform for analysis, helping internal teams identify pain points, prioritize improvements, and enhance the admin experience.

    • Microsite User Feedback (Client-facing)

Microsite users can now share feedback through an optional rating and comment widget embedded in the Bill Explainer experience. Feedback is captured and sent to the Data Platform for analysis, helping clients understand end-user sentiment, identify issues faster, and improve the customer experience.

  • Multiple Billing Periods Support & Comparison: Supports comparison across billing cycles (monthly, quarterly, yearly), giving users dynamic visualizations of usage and charges over time. This enhancement improves billing transparency by helping users track and compare charges, payments, and usage across cycles. Easily configurable via Studio, and auto-hides if no data is available. Also available via API for deeper integration and trend analysis.

  • Embedded Promotions Widget: Introduced a widget that enables Communication Service Providers (CSPs) to display dynamic, personalized promotions within the Bill Explainer. By integrating with your existing offer management platform via API, this widget helps boost revenue and customer engagement without duplicating current system functionality. The widget only displays when a valid offer is returned via API; if no offer is present, the UI hides automatically to preserve the user experience.

  • Privacy Statement Update: A product-specific privacy statement has been added to the login window of our CX SaaS products to ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations. It provides transparency about analytics data collected via Microsoft Clarity, its purpose, and user consent requirements.

  • Native Payments Enhancements to Site Analytics & Business Impact: You can now track how end-customers interact with the “Pay Now” functionality on your microsite. By integrating native payments data from CSG Forte, Bill Explainer enhances both Site Analytics and Business Impact dashboards. These insights metrics include Pay Now clicks, success/failure rates, and top failure reasons helping clients improve conversions, optimize the user journey, and enhance revenue forecasting.

  • Analytical Data Extract: Users can now receive monthly .CSV-based exports of Bill Explainer performance data via email, typically managed by the CSG Data team. These exports include channel and site analytics, enabling integration with internal BI tools and supporting advanced reporting, ROI analysis, and deeper insight generation by combining Bill Explainer data with other sources
